Review:
5/5 Stars!
Oh my goodness guys! I have been waiting for this book for so long, and this was even before I was a blogger! Firstly i'd like to thank Ink Slinger Blogger for providing this ARC and that your hard work has been noticed. :)
Okay, who remembers Ethan Moonsong? You know, the guy who's been with Cricket like...forever? Things have turned and she's not his anymore. Now for those of you who didn't know, this series is following the 7 Deadly Sins and Fury is equivalent to Wrath (I believe). At the beginning of this book, we have a very...destructive Ethan, swearing to pulverize and kill Sebastian, the man who now owns Cricket's heart.
But he is stopped...or maybe sidetracked but this girl at the bar. She is none other than Finley Dyer, his old high school "friend" if that's what they finally settle on. She's different. Not like a huge transformation where she changes completely, but different as in...she's older, and wiser. Ethan doesn't realize this at first (he's shit-faced drunk) but after their first encounter, they keep bumping into each other.
Fin sees how Ethan is living an unhealthy life and wants to mend his broken heart...at least until she heads to Vietnam to fix her own problems. Soon, Ethan uses her as a stone, forgetting about all that pent up anger and eventually, as the time they spend together continues, he completely forgets about Cricket.
When Ethan realizes that Fin's trip to Vietnam involves something dangerous, he's the first one to hop on a plane and chase after her, despite her protests.
And that, is where the real story begins.
You know, this book was a complete shocker, but a lovely one. Once the two characters end up in Vietnam, it's evident how Fisher enjoyed her experience there and how cultured she was of the community. I loved how Ethan showed off his true strength in this book. How he channeled his anger towards something for the greater good. And what girl wouldn't fall in love with that?
