Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.

I GOT A JOB!

As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what’s the problem?"

Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.

Lord, help us all...

XO,
Jo

4.5/5 Stars!

I've read many (if not all) books by R.S. Grey. I find that as the years progress, her characters get older. Not that it bothers me all that much, but I like characters in their early-mid twenties. But that's just me. Anyways, I love how beautiful her covers are and I kind of really just want to buy them all and display them all over my bookshelf and brag. The best thing about these covers is that they have an even better story inside them.

"Julian, less play-flirting. More snapping,"
He stared straight at me with his eyes full of questions and his lips full of unspoken desire.
"Who said anything about play?" he finally asked.
We were entering dangerous territory."

To me, Jo had her insecure moments when it came to anything dealing with public events as a fashion blogger, and of course...when it came to Julian. But that's all expected. A-guy-like-him-can't-end-up-with-a-girl-like-her cliche. Jo is awesome however, and I love who she is as a person. She's great at what she does, and her blog is very successful; something that I hope will happen to me someday. As a young woman like her, she's accomplished so much...
...and that's what Julian likes about her.

It's also one of the reasons he hires her to be his assistant while his sister is recovering in rehab.
The two have unbelievable chemistry and it's nothing like your simple boss/assistant relationship. I'd recommend this book for anyone looking for a light read. Perfect book for sitting on the porch or the beach.

"Because you're very funny," I whispered.
"And?"
"And you're very nice for taking care of me while I was drunk."
"And?"
"You've got a cute butt."
"Jo..."
"And I love you."
"I love you too," he said. |

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

5/5 Stars

You know when a book makes you cry (happy tears I mean), it really means that you just read an amazing novel. I really don't need to tell you this book is phenomenal because those of you who have read Be My December know how amazing Rachel's writing is.

"He remembered everything, he digested everything I said, and could read me like an open book. No one could do that but him. That was Josh Crawford." |

The ending chapters made me cry. I really felt what the characters felt. While the first book dealt with main characters on a heavy emotional level, this book was more...the temptation (ha ha) of having two very alike characters and how they deal with their emotions flying all over the place. When they meet, sparks shoot out, and they have a bond, dare I say, stronger than the first book's couples.

Josh is not what you expect him to be.
Neither is Ashlyn.

| "Are we seriously reading a book together?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yep. I need to see what all the fuss is about with these so-called book boyfriends you have. You never know, I might find myself a book girlfriend if I'm lucky."

LMU rdl banner
Today is the release day for Karla Sorensen’s Light Me Up!! I am so excited to share this sexy romance with you! Karla is sharing an exclusive excerpt and giveaway with us! Check it all out!!
Light me up_6x9_Ebook

Light Me Up Synopsis:

For Rachel Hennessy, it’s been an interesting six months. Boyfriend? Cheated on her. Job? She totally just got fired. Starting her own wedding planning business sounds exciting … in theory. In reality, it’s completely terrifying. And on top of all that, the freaking cherry right on top? She just had an ill-timed, alcohol-instigated one-night stand with her bff Casey’s brother, Tate. Yeah, that Tate. The one that she’s had a teensy, inconvenient crush on for years.
But nothing about it is ill-timed or inconvenient for Tate Steadman. Because he finally feels free. Free of the oppressive relationship he’d been in for the past six years. Free to pursue Rachel, because one alcohol-fueled night was not even close to enough for him. He just wished she saw it that way. Because she makes him want more than he ever knew he was capable of.
When their one night has unexpected consequences, Rachel has no clue how to trust that he’s not just trying to be ‘the good guy’ who wants to do ‘the right thing’. And even though the chemistry between them practically burns down an entire city block when they’re together, she doesn’t know how to let down the concrete wall she’s built up around herself.
The ‘mistake’ of one evening can change the trajectory of two lives, but maybe a mistake is all they really need to push them right into true love.

Light Me Up is a 90k word humorous contemporary romance with a moderate heat level, and is second in a series of standalones.

  Exclusive Excerpt:

"Best get caught up, little girl. That shot isn't going to drink itself."
She turned towards him and arched one brow. "Little girl?"
"You're what? Six years younger than me and about a foot shorter. I'd say that's accurate."
Rachel crossed her legs, and the way that they had lights mounted underneath the bar top only served to highlight her smooth skin capped by dangerous looking heels. She picked up her second shot glass, clicked it against one of his empty ones, and tossed it back. She blew out a breath and he caught a whiff of the Southern Comfort. "I get what you're trying to do, Tate. Be a peach and go work your mind tricks somewhere that's not by me."
   "No tricks, I promise."
   She scoffed.
"So, what kind of shot was that?" he asked when she didn't respond.
"It's called a Short Southern Screw. Seemed appropriate tonight." His confusion must have read on his face, because she rolled her eyes. "My boss ... well, former boss, Deidre, is quite the southern belle. And considering my impending unemployment, I most definitely got screwed. But I'd wager a guess that you already knew that, judging by your presence at this fine establishment that you would probably normally never step foot in."
Tate was surprised that she brought up her firing so easily. Letting her statement pass for the moment, he flagged down the bartender again, who'd moved down the length of the bar to try his luck with a pair of coeds that had parked themselves on some stools a ways down. "And you accuse me of being judgmental. You don't think this is my kind of place?"
She turned towards him finally, her cheeks holding a slight flush from the back to back shots. He had to shift his eyes away from her face because of how good it looked on her. Your sister's best friend. Your sister's best friend. He chanted it over and over in his head, to absolutely no avail.
"This is so not your kind of place. Because people only come here for two reasons: to get wasted and try to sweat out everything they've imbibed on that dance floor or make conversation where the most substantial thing that gets said is 'Your place or mine?'"
Tate laughed, because she was absolutely right, and then handed the bartender his credit card, motioning for him to start a tab. He pushed a glass towards her, and picked up one of his own. "Fair enough, I wouldn't normally come to a place like this. I like it though, it was a good choice." He looked around, and then landed back on where she watched him with a speculative look on her face. "What are we toasting to?"
She blinked a few times, her hazel eyes burning in the dark atmosphere. "To being pleasantly surprised."
They clicked glasses, and the only time she moved her eyes from his was to flick down to his mouth when he lowered his empty shot glass.
And he felt that look like she'd dragged a lit match down his spine.

  Karla Sorensen's Bio: 11005138_727640424010827_33189197_n

Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, and not long after the purchase of her first e-reader, she realized that it would probably be cheaper to just write out her own happily-ever-after stories. It doesn’t take much to keep her happy … a book, a glass of moscato, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time (this translates to almost every day being a ‘pajama day’ at the Sorensen household…don’t judge). She lives in West Michigan with her husband, two exceptionally adorable sons and their German Shepherd, who is not nearly as well trained as the one in her first book.

Mayhem by Jamie Shaw - Review

Rating: 5/5 Stars!
Synopsis: When college freshman Rowan Michaels meets gorgeous, up-and-coming rock star Adam Everest, she knows a player like him is the last thing she needs after her ex-boyfriend shattered her heart. But she can't stop thinking about the kiss they shared on his tour bus.

On the first day of school, Rowan is stunned when Adam saunters into her French class. He's soon failing miserably, and, on a whim, she offers to tutor him. But Adam doesn't recognize her as a makeup-free, glasses-clad college student—a far cry from the beautiful, mysterious "Peach" he met at his concert.

During a wild weekend on tour with the band, Rowan can't help falling for the sweet guy buried beneath Adam's rocker persona. Yet she knows she could never compete with the girls constantly throwing themselves at his feet. She'd just end up hurt … again.

Peach is all Adam thinks about, though, and when Rowan realizes this, she has a decision to make: stay just friends to protect her fragile heart … or reveal the truth about the night they met and admit she's fallen completely, hopelessly in love with him.

Review:

What chemistry! What passion! What doesn't this book have? As a fan of romance and college romance, this was the best book to start off in 2015.

This book is told from Rowan's perspective, an average girl who's in college. Her best friend Dee drags her along to a concert starring the hottest man to exist...Adam Everest.

Adam meets "Peach" (a name Rowan is given for not revealing her name to Adam). He's intrigued by her and finds her so beautiful and sexy. He needs a piece of her. He manages to give her a tour of his bus and, well things get a bit steamy from there. They exchange a really steamy, passionate kiss.

Peach leaves without leaving a name or a phone number, and we find out later that Adam puts her name down on every single ones of his shows, hoping she'll show up.

Meanwhile, Rowan is back in college and we're shown a scene of her in French class. She notices a guy who looks a whole lot like Adam...and he happens to be failing French. Once she's positive that that is in fact Adam, she offers to tutor him.

Only Adam doesn't recognize Rowan as his Peach. Rowan and Peach look nothing like each other and Rowan uses that to her advantage. She meets the boys of the band and they begin to like her. With Peach on his mind and Rowan in plain sight, his feelings clash and conflict for the two. Will Adam put two and two together as discover the girl's are one and the same.

LOVE and SEX at once, is a powerful combination.

Escape into Annabel Fanning’s feel-good bestselling erotic debut. She Part 1 is a contemporary and humorous look into the lives of two people who are on the precipice of true love. The novel uniquely crosses several genres, mixing first-grade erotica seamlessly with women’s lit and breath-taking romance.
The story unfolds over sixteen thrilling and erotically charged days, during which the reader is thrust into the heart of Paris, the novels backdrop, and into the daily lives of the construction world’s elite.

Logan Leary is a reformed bad-boy who moved to the city of love fifteen years ago to start his life over. Now he owns one of Paris’s most successful companies and leads as seemingly charmed life. There’s just one thing missing: Gemima Samuels.

Gemima Samuels moved to Paris with her down-on-his-luck boyfriend eight years ago. She coasted through life (in that annoying way we sometimes do) until her boyfriend cheated on her and life dealt her a wake up call. Choosing to start afresh, Gemima ends her relationship and quits her job before being hired by the most prestigious interior design firm in the city.

A supposedly inconsequential lunch date turns out to be the start of something phenomenal that will change both of their lives forever.

“Everything about Logan is new to me. Everything. He is the difference between watching television in black and white, verses watching it in colour: he adds dynamic and depth and stimulation when my life used to be so dull.”

Logan has loved Gemima for years.
Gemima doesn't know.
After her deadpan relationship implodes, Logan seizes his chance to rock her world.
Set in picturesque Paris, SHE is an erotic tale about falling madly in love. Combining sex, passion, and romance, these two high-flying professionals will leave you saying, “Oh, la la!”

For readers 18+ over only. Contains very explicit sexual content, and romance that may cause heart flutterings.

Annabel Fanning began writing songs as a child, the most memorable of which was entitled: "Tropical Night in Switzerland". Throughout her teens, songwriting was the most rebellious form of expression that she was willing to partake in (no tattoos, drugs, or biker boys), and her love for storytelling developed. There was just one problem: music wasn't her passion. A month before her 20th birthday whilst sitting under the Californian sun a few deck chairs down from Robert Pattinson, inspiration struck, and Annabel began writing her first novel. The years passed and now at 26, Annabel has written a handful of novels, which she plans on releasing throughout 2015/16.
