Mayhem by Jamie Shaw - Review

Rating: 5/5 Stars!
Synopsis: When college freshman Rowan Michaels meets gorgeous, up-and-coming rock star Adam Everest, she knows a player like him is the last thing she needs after her ex-boyfriend shattered her heart. But she can't stop thinking about the kiss they shared on his tour bus.

On the first day of school, Rowan is stunned when Adam saunters into her French class. He's soon failing miserably, and, on a whim, she offers to tutor him. But Adam doesn't recognize her as a makeup-free, glasses-clad college student—a far cry from the beautiful, mysterious "Peach" he met at his concert.

During a wild weekend on tour with the band, Rowan can't help falling for the sweet guy buried beneath Adam's rocker persona. Yet she knows she could never compete with the girls constantly throwing themselves at his feet. She'd just end up hurt … again.

Peach is all Adam thinks about, though, and when Rowan realizes this, she has a decision to make: stay just friends to protect her fragile heart … or reveal the truth about the night they met and admit she's fallen completely, hopelessly in love with him.

Review:

What chemistry! What passion! What doesn't this book have? As a fan of romance and college romance, this was the best book to start off in 2015.

This book is told from Rowan's perspective, an average girl who's in college. Her best friend Dee drags her along to a concert starring the hottest man to exist...Adam Everest.

Adam meets "Peach" (a name Rowan is given for not revealing her name to Adam). He's intrigued by her and finds her so beautiful and sexy. He needs a piece of her. He manages to give her a tour of his bus and, well things get a bit steamy from there. They exchange a really steamy, passionate kiss.

Peach leaves without leaving a name or a phone number, and we find out later that Adam puts her name down on every single ones of his shows, hoping she'll show up.

Meanwhile, Rowan is back in college and we're shown a scene of her in French class. She notices a guy who looks a whole lot like Adam...and he happens to be failing French. Once she's positive that that is in fact Adam, she offers to tutor him.

Only Adam doesn't recognize Rowan as his Peach. Rowan and Peach look nothing like each other and Rowan uses that to her advantage. She meets the boys of the band and they begin to like her. With Peach on his mind and Rowan in plain sight, his feelings clash and conflict for the two. Will Adam put two and two together as discover the girl's are one and the same.
