Finding Dandelion by Lex Martin Review

Rating: Sanzana: 4/5 Stars!   Jena: 5/5 Stars!

Synopsis

When soccer all-star Jax Avery collides with Dani Hart on his twenty-first birthday, their connection is instantaneous and explosive. For the first time in years, Jax isn’t interested in his usual hit-it and quit-it approach.
But Dani knows better. Allowing herself a night to be carefree and feel the intensity of their attraction won’t change anything when it comes to dealing with a player. So when Jax doesn’t recognize Dani the next time he sees her, it shouldn’t be a total shock. The fact that he’s her new roommate's brother? That’s a shock.
Dani doesn’t regret that night with Jax, just the need to lie about it. Since her roommate has made it clear what she thinks about her brother’s “type” of girl, the last thing Dani wants is to admit what happened.
Jax knows he’s walking a fine line on the soccer team. One more misstep and he’s off the roster, his plans to go pro be damned. Except he can’t seem to care. About anything… except for the one girl who keeps invading his dreams.
Despite Jax’s fuzzy memory of his hot hookup with his sister’s friend, he can’t stay away from her, even if it means breaking his own rules. But there are bigger forces at work–realities that can end Dani’s college career and lies that can tear them apart.
Jax realizes what he’s losing if Dani walks away, but will he sacrifice his future to be with her? And will she let him if he does?
FINDING DANDELION, the second book in the Dearest series, is a stand-alone novel. This New Adult romance is recommended for readers 18+ due to mature content.

Sanzana's Review:

We have Jax, Clementine's sexy, hot twin brother who plays for Boston's all star soccer player.
And then we have Dani, cute and quirky and just trying to get through college. You might remember her from Book 1 as Clementine's new roommate.

The two first set their sights of each other at a club (but of course) and things get a bit heated. But suddenly Jax receives a phone call and has to go, leaving Dani hot and bothered, and most importantly, alone.

What turns out to be a minor shocker to Dani is the next time they see each other, Jax doesn't remember a single thing about her, but keeps note of the familiarity of sweet Dani.

I loved Dearest Clementine and I sure as hell love this book. The way Lex Marin is able to spin a tale between two people with the perfect blend of sweet, sexy heat is breathtaking. I love how the words flow and despite a character's flaws, you just can't help but love them anyways. The way Jax got jealous of the male attraction Dani receives from Brady? There's nothing like a possessive male that gets me going!

I can't wait to win a copy of this book so I can showcase it off on my bookshelf. Totally looking forward to the novella featuring Jenna and Ryan. And Kissing Madeline!!!

Jena's Review:

The author offered me a free copy for a review ... but I had already purchased it because I love her writing so much I couldn't wait to read Danielle and Jax's story.

And I was not disappointed. God!!! This book was so good. It was fun. It was sexy ... soooo sexy!! And it was full of captivating characters again. I really love the way Lex writes her characters. Of course the story line is phenomenal, but just the way she creates these characters personalities makes me hope that they are out there somewhere and I meet them and we become best friends. Their funny and sincere and I love it!

I really love Dani. She is shy and "nice" but I love that she also seems comfortable with who she is and the friends she has. I love that we get to see her push herself with Jax and be flirtatious and bold with him. Throughout the whole story I really connected with her and what she was going through. There were moments when I cried when she cried and felt her embarrassment with her. I loved reading about her relationship with her mom and seeing the positivity that came from it. And her friendship with Travis was fun! Can he have his own story, because he was fun!!

Finally, Jax. He was everything we thought he would be from Dearest Clementine and I loved watching him fall for Dani. I loved figuring out his story and hearing his side of the events with Clementine. There were times when I was with every other character in the story and wanted to slap him, but mostly I just wanted to be in Dani's position. Lol!!

I enjoyed seeing all the characters again in this book and reconnecting. I really do love Clementine's personality. And it was fun to hear more about the out-sexting game they play.

Overall just a great book that I think was written fantastically!! I CAN NOT wait to read Darren's story and really everyone else's, also!!
